About Us
Athista lakshmi micro finance was established as a non-banking finance company (NBFC) in 2015 and received its license from the RBI to commence lending in early 2006.Our goal was to develop a system that would be appropriate for mainstream banking and therefore bring infusions of low-interest capital into rural areas on a scale that would be untenable for non-profit organizations.

Our effort was successful in rejuvenating and expanding the business of rural branches and transforming rural banking into a distinct business activity with profit potential. In addition to microfinance, Athista Lakshmi microfinance also offers a host of non-financial services, including life insurance, health insurance and financial counseling to its members. Furthermore, Samasta will partner with technical training institutes to provide skills development for the children of our members.

We believe that social change is possible through a robust micro financing business model that will be beneficial to our members and investors alike. Our country has a population of 116.60 Crores and a population growth rate of 1.548%.About 71% live in rural areas, while 29% live in urban areas. India's diverse economy encompasses traditional village farming, modern agriculture, handicrafts, a wide range of modern industries, and a multitude of services. Services are a major source of economic growth, accounting for more than half of India's output with less than one third being the labor force.

Slightly more than half of the work force is in agriculture, leading the government to articulate a rural economic development programmer that includes creating basic infrastructure to improve the lives of the rural poor and boost economic performance.
